Where Knowledge, Technology and Imagination Converge
- Schneider Structural Engineers provides the Solar Industry with safe, cost-effective racking systems that withstand wind, sun, snow and seismic forces. Since 2002 our engineers have designed the racking that supports more than 400 photovoltaic power system projects in 27 states, including ground-mounted, roof-mounted, ballasted and tracking systems. Our designs utilize custom aluminum extrusions, which are lightweight and corrosion resistant. On large-scale projects, we saved our clients millions of dollars. < view project profile >
- When construction costs soared, Schneider Structural Engineers re-engineered the Holiday Inn Phoenix using an innovative combination of concrete first floor and wood-framed upper floors. This solution brought the project within budget and allowed the client to build on schedule. < view project profile >
- The City of Tucson’s MLK Depot Plaza is a ”green” urban renewal project. The mixed-use facility features a six-story tower of 100 residential units, ground-level commercial space and courtyard, plus a two-level below-grade parking garage – all engineered to meet LEED® specifications.
- The $81 million Clark County Detention Center included three buildings totaling 251,000 square feet. Our engineers used pre-cast concrete, which reduced construction costs and expedited the timeline. They also provided a detailed 3-D model of the project for the client, using the latest BIM technology.
- Phoenix San Man corporate headquarters presented engineering challenges with varying roof elevations, a large circular portico, curving walls and combined use as both office and warehouse. Our solution incorporated steel, wood and masonry materials to attain the architect’s desired aesthetics within budget.
- Indigo Pointe Apartment Homes is a 72-unit affordable housing project in Phoenix. We used post-tension slabs to improve the quality and finish of the cement foundation and open-web wood trusses to house plumbing, mechanical and electrical, reducing floor-to-floor height and construction costs.
- The Clean Freak Car Wash features a canopy sail instead of a roof. The engineers at Schneider Structural Engineers produced the fabric look the client wanted by using a series of trusses and X-braces to create a roof diaphragm. They also redesigned the steel tube frames so they could be manufactured locally, saving time and expense.
