Victor Pralle specializes in translating architectural designs into clear, comprehensive, coherent structural drawings. It is a craft he has perfected over the past 28 years.
His project experience is as varied as the nation’s architectural landscape itself – from Elmendorf Air Force Base Regional Hospital near Anchorage and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles to Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson and Epcot Center at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando.
As lead designer Victor is responsible for the coordination and completion of all structure construction documents for the Tucson office and provides support for Schneider Structural Engineers' other offices. This includes the spectrum of structural systems, including concrete, wood, steel, pre-cast concrete and tilt-up concrete panels. He incorporates innovative design solutions from the engineering team into easy-to-build drawings.
Victor grew up in Phoenix, attended two universities in Arizona and worked for firms in California and Arizona. He has developed an expertise in computer-aided design from its infancy through today’s advanced systems like Revit that produce intricate three-dimensional models.
Building Information Models (BIM) can visually demonstrate to clients the impact of new solutions or materials on the structure and closely estimate construction costs. New technologies allow Victor and his staff to complete repetitive tasks more quickly and accurately while creating far more precise designs.
“Projects done in BIM help the contractor coordinate with other disciplines to find and avoid any conflicts in the design before construction even begins.”
