IDA on McKinley is currently the tallest building in North America which is constructed utilizing steel shipping containers. This new multi-family housing venture boasts 18 living units and a 2,400 square foot ground floor for commercial business space, constructed from a total of 66 40-foot recycled shipping containers and steel beams supported on custom cast culverts that are stacked two high. At the upper levels, we created a two-level container with a loft space where half of the top and the floor of the shipping containers was removed to create a two-story space.
